Listening Sessions - Interpretation, Education and Volunteers - July 2013
An Open Invitation
Julia Washburn, the Associate Director, Interpretation, Education and Volunteers, has asked us to pass along an open invitation. If you are looking for an opportunity to shape the future of interpretation within the NPS, now is your chance. The Interpretation, Education and Volunteers office is holding three listening sessions next week to hear what *you* have to say about where we're all headed.
The thee sessions will be held:
- July 22, 2013 at 5pm Eastern
- July 25, 2013 at 2pm Eastern
- July 26, 2013 at 3pm Eastern
Why a Listening Session?
We want to know what you think about the draft interdisciplinary strategic plan for Interpretation, Education and Volunteers, 2013-2016. We want to hear about innovation at the regional and park levels. This listening session is an opportunity to provide you with a forum for participating in assessing perceived needs, issues, and hopes for the future.
Tips for the Listening Session
Submit questions and comments prior to listening session via the Draft's PEPC page.
During the session, use the WebEx chat feature to ask questions. Wherever possible, please gather together to share phone and webEx lines to help ensure maximum field participation.
How to Participate
To fully participate, you will need both a reliable phone line and internet connection. You *do not* need to be behind the NPS firewall to participate in this listening session, which means our volunteers and other partners who may not have DOI-network access may participate fully if they wish.
